My Opinion,
I am greatly concerned with our president and our country’s leaders. Trump said on television that he was glad to bring a government shut down if he does not get the funding for his border wall. He went on the say that he will not blame the Democrats, that he was taking full responsibility. Today, he tweets that if there is a shut down, blame the Democrats. There are Republicans who are not supporting funding for a border wall, also. Again, he lied. Through the influence of the extreme right in our government and public, he has become hardcore about funding his wall. I am not here to criticize the president. I am trying to open eyes on his nature. As Christians we need to pray for our president and our leaders to have a change of heart. Here is my prayer:
Our Father who is in Heaven, Holiest is your name. Your kingdom come, and your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Our Father in Heaven, I lift our president and leaders to you. Our country is in a crisis and we need your intervention to change the president and our country’s leaders’ hearts to follow your will and not the will of political and civil extremist. You led immigrants who were persecuted mostly for their religious beliefs. You led them to a country blessed with many resources. You work with the hearts of these early immigrants to establish a Christian nation. A nation that will follow your will to be a light and blessing in a world of darkness. They listen and did away with practices that were against your will over time. Now we have the president, and a group of extreme left lawmakers and public people who wish undo your will. They want to build a wall to isolate our blessed and favored country from the rest of the world. They want to turn their backs on the weary and persecuted to pursue their own self-interest. Their thinking is clearly self-serving. Please have the president and these leaders turn their ears to you, so they will follow your will. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
