I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Hope Is Our Strategy” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Micah 7:1–7 with the key verse, “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. ” Micah 7:7. Adam Holz wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. What I observe, the closer we are to Christmas, the more intense are the teachings about Christ. This devotion is centered on what to do when troubles or harsh times come and there is no solution or hope . We turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. The prophet Micah said it best,"But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me."' Micah 7:7 Watching, waiting, praying, and remembering are how you maintain hope in troubles or harsh times.
Father, You’ve promised to be an anchor for our hearts when circumstances look discouraging. Help us call out to You in faith and hope, believing that You hear our hearts’ cries.
May God bless you, and to turn to God for faith and hope in harsh time.
