I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Good Riddance Day” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Psalm 103:1–12 with the key verse, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12. Marvin Williams wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. This devotion reminds us how much God loves us. In the Old Testament, Aaron confessed all the sins of the children of Israel on the head of a live goat on the Day of Atonement. The goat, symbolically bearing their sins, was then sent into the wilderness. In the new testament, through our faith in Jesus, when we confess and turn from our sins, God frees us from the power of our transgressions by fully pardoning us. Like the article titled "Good Riddance Day" by Marvin Williams, we don’t have to wait until the New Year to experience God's forgiveness.
Thank You, Father, for freedom from sin.
May God bless you, and thank our Heavenly Father for our freedom from sin.
