The Answer Is No

I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “When God Says No” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Isaiah 25:1–5 with the key verse, “In perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.” Isaiah 25:1. Leslie Koh wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. This devotion reminds us of our daughter. She attempted suicide by hanging herself. This is after she went through with an abortion. She is not the only one at fault, a lot of things went wrong and all of us share in this tragedy. She is in a semi-vegetate state. Every day my wife visits our daughter and she prays that God would forgive and give her back her life. Every day, God has said no. We have been advised that she will never fully recover and we should let her die. We can not do that because we believe that after you have served God's purpose, He will call you home and nothing can prevent it from happening. We keep our faith believing that God still has a purpose for her. (This was very hard to write.)

Lord, give us the faith to keep trusting You even when You say no.

May God bless you and keep trusting God even when He says no.
