wp:paragraph I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “What Kind of Savior Is He?” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from John 6:47–51, 60–66 with the key verse, “From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him” John 6:66. Anne Cetas wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Many times Jesus is misunderstood. When He walked among us, He was misunderstood to be a lot of things, carpenter, physician, provider, and ruler. However, we know who He is and what He can do. He’s the provider of eternal life. He is good and wise; and He loves, forgives, stays close, and brings us comfort. We find rest in Jesus as He is and keep following Him.
Thank You, Jesus, that You are the kind of Savior we need. Wrap us in Your love and bring us confident rest in You.
May God bless you and find rest in Jesus.
