God's Love

The scripture is from Hosea 11:8–1 with the key verse, “[Nothing] will be able to separate us from the love of God." Romans 8:39. Poh Fang Chia wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. The lesson from this article is about God's love. After Joshua brought Israel into the "Promised Land", they rebelled against God. Instead of worshiping God, the turned to idols. It broke God's heart, but He didn't give up on His chosen people. instead of the total destruction of Israel, He disciplined and restored them. This is how God deals with us. When we sin against God, He will discipline and restore us. When God disciplines us, we can be comforted that it’s a sign of His pursuit, not of His rejection. We are His treasure; He won’t give up on us.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love that never gives up on me. Help me to love You wholeheartedly.
