wp:paragraph I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “A Song in the Night” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Psalm 42:1–11 with the key verse, “If we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently", Romans 8:25. Monica Brands wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. The lesson from this article is hope. Hope is to look for or wait for an occurrence. In this article the Psalmist is waiting for God to come to him. He feels alone and deserted in the mist of controversy. I know this feeling. I am suffering from a painful venous ulcer. It has kept me from work and confined me to the house. Like the psalmist, I feel isolated. However, I hope in The Lord to restore my health and spirit.

Lord, we know that You have carried all our suffering and will one day turn it around into resurrection life. Still, there is so much healing that we wait and long for. As we wait for that morning, help us to rest in Your song of love in the night.

May God bless you and help you to rest in His song of love.
