I Am A Child of God

I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Always a Child of God” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Romans 8:9–17 with the key verse, “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God." Romans 8:14. Amy Boucher Pye wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Unlike the author, I am an orphan. I rejoice that I am a child of God. There is a song by Hillsong Worship, called "Who You Say I Am" sums up my rejoicing.

Lord God, help me to live out of my central identity as Your child. Release me to live by Your Spirit, that I might share Your love and hope.
