I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Righteous Among the Nations” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Esther 4:5–14 with the key verse, “For such a time as this." Esther 4:14. Lisa Samra wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. The subject here is about answering "The Call". In this devotion, Esther, a Jew and queen, was asked by her cousin, Mordecai, to save her people. In spite of her position (Scripture indicates that she might not have been in his favor), she petitioned the King to save her people. She was at the right place at the right time to carry out God's plan. When God has a plan, you may be a part of it and called to step up. You may never be asked to make such a dramatic decision, as Esther. However, you will likely face the choice to speak out against an injustice or remain silent or to provide assistance to someone in trouble.
Dear God, grant us courage, in your timing, to help those we need to speak up for.
May God bless and give you courage to speak to help those in need.
