God Is Working

I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Algae and Diatoms” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Job 37:14–24 with the key verse, “Stop and consider God’s wonders." Job 37:14. Julie Schwab wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Job was a man of God. Yet in an instant, he lost everything. His close friends barely recognized him. This is another lesson of encouragement. This explains why God allows such evil in the world. Job asked this question. I am sure many of us asked the same question. Elihu challenges his friend, Job, to stop and consider God’s wonders. This is good advice for us. No matter what we’re going through, God is working, even when we can’t see it and don’t understand.

Lord, thank You for the detail You put into creation and for being at work even when we can’t see it.
