Forgiven and Restored

I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Restored” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Joel 2:18–27 with the key verse, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten." Joel 2:25. Kirsten Holmberg wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Today in the scriptures, we learned that Judea was destroyed by locust. It was so bad that the people cried out for God to intervene. He did and returned Judea to itself before the locust invasion. Like the locust, our wrongdoings eat away at the fruitful, fragrant life God intended for us. When we turn toward Him, and away from our past choices, He promises to remove our shame and restore us to an abundant life in Him.
What can you ask God’s forgiveness for today?
May God bless you and forgive your sins. .
