Good Works

The scripture is from Ephesians 2:6–10 with the key verse, “For we are . . . created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10. Leslie Koh wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. This article reminds me of our first days in in a new place. This town had a reputation for discrimination. My wife and I were new Christians looking for a church to call home. There was a church near our house so we decided to check it out. After church a family came to visit. They brought food and a welcome basket. God prepared this family in advance do good works for us. Their kind actions lead us to become members of the church and do good works that God had prepared for in advance for us (our family) to do.
