Sleepless Night

The scripture is from Psalm 127:1–2 with the key verse, “[God] grants sleep to those he loves.” Psalm 127:2. Winn Collier wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Just the day before yesterday, I discovered wrote a fraudulent check from my account. I could not sleep all night. I prayed to God to help me resolved this issue. I got plenty of sleep and the next morning, through God's guidance, the bank took steps to resolve this issue. God does provide what we need. He “grants sleep to those he loves” (v. 2). And God’s love extends to all of us. He invites us to release our anxieties to Him and sink into His rest, into His grace.

God, I’m so anxious. I churn inside. Would You help me trust You with my night, with my day, with my life?
