I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Praying and Growing” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Jonah 4 with the key verse, "Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God.” Colossians 3:17. James Banks wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. I know that God is talking to me through The Holy Spirit when I read these articles. The Holy spirit is showing areas in my walk I need to improve. The Holy Spirit brought to my attention that I am self-centered, I focus only on myself and not others. This is wrong and I will work to improve this area on my Christian life. How about you? Are you self-centered? If you are you need to change. God challenges us to think about others and have compassion. In unexpected ways God helps us to learn and grow. We can welcome His changes for us with open hearts because He wants to transform us with His love.

Lord Jesus, thank You for helping me grow when I pray. Help me to be sensitive to what You want for my life today.

May God bless you and help you to be sensitive to what He wants for your life,
