wp:paragraph I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Great News!” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Psalm 51:1-7, with the key verse, “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love.” Psalm 51:1. Leslie Koh wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. When I first accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I wished I knew about Psalm 32 and 51. Both of these psalms fit me and I am guilty. God’s unending mercy became personal news because of Jesus’s dying on my behalf. I know I don’t deserve His mercy, but I can hold on to the only thing I can depend on is God’s unfailing love and compassion. You can, too. Get your sins off your chest confess them to a loving God.
Father, I’m sorry if I’ve taken Your mercy and love for granted. Thank You for this wonderful gift and privilege that I don’t deserve yet You’ve promised unconditionally.
May God bless and show you mercy and grace.
