wp:paragraph I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “Welcoming Strangers” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Deuteronomy 10:12–19, with the key verse, “You are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.” Deuteronomy 10:19. Amy Boucher Pye wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, before I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. The message is quite clear. We are to love our neighbors as ourselves. It includes loving and welcoming foreigners, immigrants, and asylum seekers. We honor God when we obey His commands. Our country leaders fail short, especially our president. He leads the charge to disobey God's command. As Christians, we are obligated to follow God's command to rise above our government's present policies.

When or if you receive the gift of hospitality, how does that affect you? When you think about welcoming someone, does a specific person or persons come to mind? May God bless you by giving you the opportunity to follow his commands of welcoming immigrants and asylum seekers.
