I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Ending Envy” The scripture is from Romans 6:11–14 with the key verse, "Each one should test their own actions" Galatians 6:4. Patricia Raybon wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Envy is a horrific sin. Left uncontrolled, its destruction ranges from wars, corrupt governments to personal lives. We have to put aside envy quickly. The only way is through to turn back to God. Offer every part of yourself to him, your work and life especially. Look at your own God-given gifts, and find contentment.
Reflect: What talents, spiritual gifts, and blessings has God given you that you’ve forgotten to appreciate? Prayer: Father, help us to remember the talents, spiritual gifts, and blessings that you gave us.
May God bless you and may you focus on all the gifts God gave to you.
