I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Playing with Joy” The scripture is from Galatians 5:22-26 with the key verse, "The fruit of the Spirit is . . . joy" Galatians 5:22. David H. Roper wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Since I have given my heart to Jesus, I am joyful all the time. I wake up joyful and I am joyful throughout the day. A few things that make me discourage is impulsiveness, and memory loss. I have tendencies of being impulsive. When it happens, things go wrong and I get frustrated with myself. This is when I call on The Holy Spirit to strengthen me. Reflect: What causes you to be discouraged? Where do you find your joy?
Prayer: We turn my eyes to You, God. We're grateful we can count on Your faithfulness to us. Please bring us into Your joy.
May God bless you and give you joy.
