I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Divine Diversions” The scripture is from Acts 16:6–10 with the key verse, "They tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to" Acts 16:7. Arthur Jackson wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments . I agree that a loss or a plan that didn't happen is a disappointment. I learned that God is in control. When He closes one door, another door is opened and it is better. I have experienced this first hand. God open the door for me to be a teacher. Since that time, I have the best job in the world, and I love teaching. With God's guidance I have positively influence the lives of many students and their families. My advice is to not be discourage when you don't get what you desire. God has something better. Trust him with all your heart. Reflect:

What loss have you grieved only to be grateful that what you desired you didn’t get? How did the situation serve to bolster your trust in the Lord?

Prayer: Father, I praise You that in Your wisdom You know how to best arrange my life. Thank You for protecting me through Your detours.

May God bless you and protect you through His detours.
