Confessing To God

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Honest to God” The scripture is from Isaiah 1:12–18 with the key verse, "Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity" Psalm 32:5. James Banks wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. We all remember times when our parents questioned us about an incident or our attitude, and we claimed to be innocent. Or, we tried to hide something from our parents. We really thought we fooled our parents, but soon realized (the hard way) we did not. Imagine facing God. He is all knowing. He knows what your sins are but wants us to acknowledge, take responsibility, and repent. If we do, our loving Father is quick to forgive. Reflect: What sins have you not been honest with God about? What’s holding you back from confessing them to Him? Prayer: Abba, Father, help us to turn away from the sins in our lives and make a new beginning with You today.

May God bless you and have a new beginning with God today.
