I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Sovereign Intervention” The scripture is from Exodus 3:1–9 with the key verse, "God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them" Exodus 2:25. Ruth O’Reilly-Smith wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. In my experiences, God has always provided for our needs. I learned from my grandmother who prayed every day for our daily needs, and God provided for us. My family fell upon rough financial times. We thought we would be homeless. Yet, God looked down on us touch our landlord's heart and others to have shelter and food. I know from experience God wants a loving relationship with us. It is important to bring your needs to God in prayer.
Reflect: Why is it important for us to bring our needs to God in prayer? How can you learn to rest in God’s provision—whatever that may be?
Prayer: Loving God, thank You that we can bring our needs to You. Help us to be content in whatever paths and provisions You choose.
May God bless you and be content in whatever path and provisions He chooses for you.
