The Good Shepherd

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Football and Shepherds” The scripture is from John 10:11–15 with the key verse, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep" John 10:11. Bill Crowder wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. I have seen God's care for me in many ways. He kept me alive to turn my life over to Christ. I have been rescued from my old life and environment into a life of serving Him. He helped through all my crisis. He brought a Christian woman into my life and blessed us with loving family. I will tell everyone about God's care for me. Reflect: In what ways have you seen God’s care for you? Who can you tell about Him today? Prayer: What a gift our Shepherd is to us, Father! Help us to respond to His voice—and draw nearer to You.
