I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “But a Breath” The scripture is from Psalm 39:1–13 with the key verse, "My hope is in you" Psalm 39:7. Alyson Kieda wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. There are times when we are like David. We hold our feelings within us. David reached a point that he became confused over his relationship with God. When he came clean about his feelings, he concluded that his hope was in God, and life on Earth is short compared to eternity. Use your time on Earth living for God. Reflect: How is it comforting to know that God has made it possible for you to share in His eternal life? How can the gift of each moment encourage you to make the most of your time? Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that this life is not all there is! You have eternity in store for all who believe in You. Help us to spend our numbered days here in service to You. May God bless you and learn to live every moment serving God.
