Lasting Love

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Indestructible Love” The scripture is from Song of Songs 8:6–7 with the key verse, "Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away" Song of Songs 8:7. Jennifer Benson Schuldt wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Nothing is this world is guaranteed. Love’s persistent strength and intensity is often present in romantic relationships, but it’s only fully expressed in the love God has for people through His Son, Jesus Christ. There are no boundaries for God’s love and nothing compares to it. “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things”, 1 Corinthians 13:7 (ESV).

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for comforting me with Your love during times of rejection or loss. Help me to believe I can depend on You to meet every need in my soul.
