Never Give Up On God

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Never Give Up Hope” The scripture is from Luke 8:40–48 with the key verse, " (Jesus] said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” Luke 8:48. Xochitl Dixon wrote this devotion. My brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. We witnessed the attempted suicide of our daughter. It left her nearly brain dead. She was on life support and the doctors wanted us to pull the plug. We said no. No more than ten minutes later, the neurologist informed us that there was brain activity. Now she is at a long term facility and doing well. We do not know how this story is going to end. We do not know why has not answered our prayers, but we keep our faith that God will perform a miracle with her. Reflect: How have you recently needed to trust in Jesus despite the challenges you faced? What hope have you found in Him? Prayer: Jesus, thank You for reminding us that we’re never out of Your reach or without hope. You’re able to do what no one else can do. May God bless you and keep your hope and faith in Jesus.
