I start every morning with coffee with God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread. Today’s devotion is titled “Deep-Rooted Faith.” Xochitl Dixon wrote this devotion. The scripture reading is from Matthew 13:18–23 with the key verse, “The seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it.”, Matthew 13:23. My beloved children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I first pray to God to guide my words so that it will serve as spiritual food and guidance. I desire God to be my sole source of wiring. All the credit goes to God, not me. I am his humble servant. I thank God that He led to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as my inspiration for comments.

Our life-giving occurs in our hearts. Jesus emphasizes the importance of being firmly planted in a personal relationship with the Father. The scripture reveals God’s knowledge and help us spiritually grow. His spirit sustains our faith roots. God helps His followers thrive through ever-changing circumstances, trials, persecution, and worry.

Reflect:

What can you do this week to ensure your heart will be good soil nourished by God’s Word? What fruit of deep-rooted faith have you seen become evident in your life over the last year?

Prayer:

Loving Father, please change us from the inside out and anchor us in faith rooted deep in the unchanging Scriptures.

My Prayer for You:

May God bless and change you from the inside out anchoring you in deep rooted faith in the unchanging scriptures.
