Irrational Fears

I start every morning with coffee with God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread. Today’s devotion is titled “Irrational Fears.” Anne Cetas wrote this devotion. The scripture reading is from Isaiah 49:14–19; with the key verse, “I will not forget you!”, Isaiah 49:15. My beloved children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, brothers, and sisters in Christ; for all I write, I first pray to God to guide my words to serve as spiritual food and guidance. I desire God to be my sole source of writing. All the credit goes to God, not me. I am his humble servant. I thank God that He led to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as my inspiration for comments.

Even as Christians, our emotions and thoughts turn into fear. I know they have for me from time to time. God reassures us that He is with us, and his love never stops. God is even closer to us than our parents. God declares, “I will not forget you” and reminds us He “formed [us] in the womb.”

Reflect:

What fears do you face? How might you seek God’s help to address them?

Prayer:

Father, my emotions and fears can be overwhelming and controlling. Thank You for being kind by helping me with them.

My Prayer for You:

I pray when your emotions and fears overwhelm you, God will step in to help.
